When it comes to computer level tasks, many people thing Android smartphones stay behind these types of tasks. But, it is wrong. These devices are capable to do some unique tasks and things, which you never imagined. In this post, I am sharing some tricks and tips, by which you can get the most from your smartphone.

  • Android Smartphone as External Storage Device

Yeah! You can use your Android device as an external storage device. Whenever you need to store your data, but don’t have an external hard disk or pen drive, you can use your Android smartphone as a hard disk to store the data. To make your smartphone an external storage device, you need to connect Android smartphone to a PC via USB cable. And you can use it as external storage device.

Some smartphones don’t support direct PC connectivity options. For those smartphones, you need to install “Media Suite” in your PC. After installing it, you can use a smartphone as storage Device.

  • Use Pen drive, Keyboard and Mouse

Most of the latest Android smartphone support this thing. You can connect your pen drive and check or modify the data, Connect External Keyboard and Mouse. You can connect this device with your smartphone, if it has OTG Support. With OTG support, you can connect any USB Device with your Smartphone.

As pen drives and other external devices don’t have the Micro-USB connector, so you need to use Micro-USB to USB host cable.

  • Root Smartphone to Increase the Performance

If you are not satisfied with the current look and performance of your smartphone, then you can root it. The Rooting is nothing but the process of removing the Lock applied by Device Manufacturer. After rooting your smartphone, you can install various apps, which can access system root and increase the performance of your smartphone.

But, before rooting your smartphone, you have to know that rooting your smartphone may void the manufacturer’s warranty. If done in the wrong way, it can break your Android device. Rooting is the most powerful but risky way of increasing the performance of the smartphone.

  • Change the Appearance with Launchers

Most of the Android smartphones come with the user interface customized by manufacturers. Many times, you may find it annoying to use single UI for a long time. You cannot completely remove the User interface or theme of your device, but you can temporarily replace it with various launchers. The Android Launchers are themes, made for Android devices.

You can download and install various launchers from Play Store and use them as default theme of the device. You can revert to the previous theme any time by uninstalling these launchers.
